Our Privacy Commitments in Brief
1. Information We Collect
When you use Seedripe (including the AI Plant Nursery, AI Plant Doctor, and Corporate Services), we collect the following types of information:
- Account & Contact Details: Name, phone number, email address, and shipping address provided when creating an account, booking an audit, or placing an order.
- Botanical Diagnostic Data: Photographs of plants, leaves, or spaces you upload for photo diagnosis, plant identification, or balcony light evaluation.
- Microclimate & Location Telemetry: Approximate city or PIN code location (with your device permission) used solely to pull local weather conditions (temperature, humidity, rainfall) to calibrate your watering reminders.
- Transaction & Order History: Products purchased, delivery tracking status, and customer service conversations.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information exclusively to provide, improve, and deliver Seedripe services:
- Fulfilling, packaging, and dispatching plant orders and remedies to your doorstep pan-India.
- Processing leaf photos with computer vision algorithms to return instant disease verdicts and organic remedies.
- Sending weather-adjusted care notifications so you water on time during summer heatwaves and pause during monsoons.
- Scheduling and conducting on-site corporate plant audits and servicing plantscaping leases.
- Complying with statutory tax, invoicing (GST), and regulatory requirements.
3. Plant Photos & AI Diagnostic Models
Seedripe respects your visual privacy. Photographs submitted through the AI Plant Doctor are processed on secure cloud infrastructure to identify species and diagnose botanical pathology.
Images of plants may be de-identified and used to refine our botanical machine learning accuracy. We never scan for faces, background room contents, or private home items, and we never license your photographs to advertising platforms.
4. Payment & Financial Security
All monetary transactions on Seedripe are encrypted via TLS 1.3 and handled directly by Reserve Bank of India (RBI)-authorized payment partners (such as Razorpay). Seedripe never stores, views, or logs full credit/debit card numbers or net banking credentials on our servers.
5. Website Analytics
To see how people use our website and fix what's confusing, we use Google Analytics (visits, pages viewed, device and rough location) and Microsoft Clarity (anonymous recordings of clicks and scrolling, and heatmaps). Text you type into forms is hidden from recordings. These tools use cookies; you can block them in your browser settings, and the website still works.
6. Data Retention & Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023, you hold full authority over your personal data:
- Right to Access & Portability: You can view and download your full order history, saved addresses, and plant collection at any time.
- Right to Erasure: You can request complete deletion of your account and uploaded photos by writing to
privacy@seedripe.com. - Opt-Out of Communications: You may toggle care alerts and transactional SMS notifications directly within your profile settings.
